OVERPRINT✳AN IDEA IN THE MAKING / 1PUNIPlay with the story

A COMIC DOESN’T HAVE TO GO ONE WAY.

THE STORY
ISN’T FINISHED.
GOOD.

I want to make comics that none of us could make alone. You bring a strange idea. Someone draws it. Someone else asks: what if?

Try another ending

An idea in progress. A little story you can actually play with.

NO. 001 / MANY POSSIBLE WORLDS
An ink-drawn courier climbs a crooked staircase to a door in a huge orange moon. A paper plane flies past the stars.
ONE LETTER. NO RETURN ADDRESS.TO BE CONTINUED BY YOU ↗

01 / HERE’S THE ITCH

One beginning.
Ten wild turns.
A place to meet.

I’ve carried this idea around for about ten years. I keep wondering what happens when a story belongs to more than one imagination.

The same opening could become a ghost story, a love letter, or a very bad day for a talking fish. Let them all exist. Then find an ending together.

Nobody’s version disappears.
Nobody’s name gets rubbed out.

02 / TAKE THE STORY FOR A SPIN

INTERACTIVE CONCEPT DEMO

Same moon.
Different trouble.

Three imagined collaborators. One shared opening. Pick a path and watch it find its way back.

01
OPENING

At midnight, a courier finds a letter addressed to the moon.
“Please deliver before the tide comes in.”

02 / THE DREAMER’S PATHA OF 3
A staircase unfurls toward the moon as a courier whispers to it.

“I don’t know the way.”
“Good. Neither do I.”

The stairs that listen

She whispers a secret to an abandoned staircase. It unfolds into the sky. Every step asks a question; every answer brings the moon a little closer.

03 / OUR SHARED ENDING

A little light to send home.

At the final step, the courier knocks on the moon’s door.

Inside the envelope is a seed. The moon plants it. By morning, a small light is growing in every window on Earth.

Shared ending · all three imagined collaborators

Switch paths. The other versions are still here. These characters and credits are fictional; this is a sample, not a live community.

03 / FROM “WHAT IF” TO “WE MADE THIS”

You don’t have to
do every part.

01 / START SOMETHING

Leave a door open.

A sketch. A line of dialogue. A character with an impossible problem. Enough for someone else to get curious.

02 / PICK UP A THREAD

Draw this scene.

Write a turn, add the shadows, change the palette. Try another interpretation without losing the one that started it.

03 / BRING IT TOGETHER

Make an edition together.

Choose the panels, shape the ending, agree on the credits. Keep the alternate routes close enough to wander into.

04 / YOUR TURN, IF YOU’RE CURIOUS

Put something
in the envelope.

What would you send to the moon? Add one line to this sample and take an edition with you.

This little workbench runs in your browser. Nothing is sent or saved here. The full co-creation platform is still an idea I’m exploring.
